Caribbean Belle WEDDINGS - Volume 6 Issue 1

S hades of Perfection Events Rental started humbly with one food warmer which was purchased from a Sou-Sou hand (a group of monthly savings with family and friends). Thereafter, the owner, Ayana Shade, expanded the business, and added additional rental options including glasses, cut- lery, linen lines, decorations etc. She markets her business towards couples getting married in her “is- land paradise” and to venues who needed vendors with her particular talents. Her clients hail from Tobago and beyond! Shade grew up in a family of small business entrepreneurs. Both her mother and grandmother were very creative with their hands: baking, cooking, decorating, sewing, flower arranging among other things were their natural gifts. Not surprisingly, Shade inherited a lot of these skills. After the passing of her mother in 2010, which had a profound impact on her life, she engaged herself in entrepreneurial pursuits suited to her talents. She was inspired by the splendour of a wedding decor set- up she saw in a magazine which en- couraged and propelled her to follow her passion and dream of becoming Tobago’s best event rental and decor company. Her business goal is to make every rental and decor service as close to perfection as possible; she’s extreme- ly service oriented and works to cus- tomise services based on customers’ needs. Most importantly, she seeks to ensure her brides and grooms en- joy their big day.
